Data Deletion
There is no account to delete. Only your phone.
WhatAI stores nothing on a server, so deleting your data is something you do on your own device — instantly, and without asking us.
Why there is no “delete my account” button. WhatAI has no accounts and no backend. Your messages, rules and settings exist only in the app’s private storage on your phone. Removing them removes them everywhere.
Option 1 — Delete individual conversations
Keeps the app set up, removes only the chat history you pick.
- Open WhatAI and go to the Chats tab.
- Open the conversation you want to remove.
- Use the delete action in that conversation to erase its stored messages.
Option 2 — Clear everything, keep the app
Wipes all captured messages, rules, reply profiles, the reply log, your API key and every setting, while leaving the app installed.
- Open your phone’s Settings.
- Go to Apps → WhatAI.
- Tap Storage, then Clear storage (or “Clear data”).
The app returns to its first-run state. Nothing is recoverable afterwards, so export anything you want to keep first.
Option 3 — Uninstall
Removes the app and its entire database in one step. Press and hold the WhatAI icon and choose Uninstall, or use Settings → Apps → WhatAI → Uninstall.
Also remove it from your Android backup
Android may have included the app’s database in the automatic backup of your phone to your own Google account. That backup is yours and is encrypted with your device credentials — we have no access to it — but if you want it gone as well:
- Open Settings → Google → Backup to manage or turn off backups for this device.
- Or visit drive.google.com → Storage → Backups and delete the device backup.
What about data sent to an AI provider?
If you used a cloud AI engine, the conversation text was sent from your phone to Google or Anthropic under your API key. We never held it and cannot delete it. To have it removed, use the data controls in your account with that provider:
- Google — through your Google account’s AI Studio / Gemini API data settings.
- Anthropic — through the Anthropic Console for the account that owns the API key.
Still need help?
Email support@martai.in and we will walk you through it. We have nothing on our side to delete, but we are happy to confirm that in writing if you need it for a records request.
